Getting there & parking
- Where is it?
- Shippensburg Community Fairgrounds, Shippensburg, PA.
- Parking
- Free, in the lots around the grounds, staffed by volunteers from 6:00 AM. The lots closest to the gate fill first; the rest are a short walk on a paved path.
- Drop-off and rideshare
- Follow the signs to the drop-off loop by the main gate. Please don't stop on the road shoulder.
Gates & times
- What you need
- The QR code on your ticket, on your phone or printed. One scan per person per day. Your wristband goes on at the gate and stays on all weekend.
- Lost wristband
- Come to any gate and we replace it, free, no questions. Bands carry no name or code, so there is nothing to look up and nothing to prove.
- Kids
- Six and under are free with a ticketed adult and don't need their own ticket. Ages 7–11 use the Youth Full Event ticket.
Camping
- Sites
- Dry camping only, 20×40 sites, weekend pass. No hookups and no open fires; propane cooking is fine.
- Booking
- Camping is a step in the ticket purchase, and sites are assigned when you finish it. Add camping to your tickets.
What to bring (and not)
- Bags
- Bags up to 12×12×6in, clear or not, are fine. Sealed water bottles are welcome and there are free refill stations at both stages.
- Leave at home
- Coolers, glass, outside alcohol, weapons and drones. Uprise is a dry event: no alcohol is sold and none may be brought in.
- Food and tokens
- Twenty-plus vendors on the food court. Order from your phone and get a text when it's ready, or walk up. Tokens bought with your ticket are already on your account; show your ticket QR at any booth.
Accessibility
- Parking
- Accessible spaces are in the first rows of the lot nearest the gate, with a state placard.
- Viewing
- There is a raised accessible viewing platform at both stages, house left, with room for a companion.
Rain or shine & your ticket
- Weather
- The festival runs rain or shine. If lightning is close we pause, move everyone to shelter, and pick back up when it clears. We text every ticket holder when that happens.
- If you can't come
- We aren't able to offer refunds if plans change, in any weather. What we can do is make it easy to pass your ticket on: transfer it to someone who can go, or change the name on it. Both are free and take about a minute at Find my tickets.
- Buying at the gate
- Yes, all weekend, at the box office by the main gate. Day-of price is the advance price plus $25, and your QR is texted to you before you walk in.
FAQs
My ticket never arrived
Look up your order by email at Find my tickets and resend it to yourself. If the email on the order is wrong, the box office can fix it with ID at the gate.
Can I keep my ticket on my phone's home screen?
Yes. Open Find my tickets, then use your browser's Share menu and choose “Add to Home Screen”. Your QR opens even without signal once it has loaded.
How does volunteering work?
Work two shifts and your Full Event ticket is $20. You pick your job and time windows when you apply, and your shirt is handed to you at the gate.
How do I sign in for a volunteer shift?
Clock in with your supervisor at your post using your own four-digit code. Miss a shift you signed up for and the ticket goes back to the full price.
Do tokens expire?
Not during the weekend, but they can't be exchanged back for cash.
